I am a robotic systems creator, engineering scientist, and product developer. I am a thing that makes other things.
I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and pivoted my career more specifically towards robotics when acquiring my Master’s of Science in Robotics from Northwestern University. I had accepted a PhD in soft robotic machines at Cornell University only to rescind due to entrepreneurial pursuits.
I have worked over multiple industries:
- Controlled Environment Agriculture
- Entertainment
- Transportation
- Physical Medicine
- Low-Volume Manufacturing
- Design Contracting
and have fielded multiple roles:
- R&D Director
- Robotic Systems Architect
- Research Scientist
- Head Engineer
- Product Manager
- Sustainability Officer
My greatest accomplishment is co-founding and building of my brainchild, Fifth Season. I’m proud of the role that I played as its lead developer. I learned more about the complex world that we live in than I anticipated, and it has opened my eyes to thinking big.
In my personal life, I enjoy:
- Prototyping weird things in my private and ill-equipped “lab”
- Amateur biology and chemistry projects
- Precision cooking
- Amateur software and IT development
- Competitive video gaming (I’m cardboard league, but have fun)
- Curating the “Funk with a Computer” music genre
“The world’s biggest problems are the world’s biggest business opportunities.” For me, this quote from Peter Diamandis has resonated into a musing that gave me a sense of purpose: to dedicate my engineering leadership talents towards solving problems of global and social significance.
